The Twin Theory.
1. In Season 2 of Pretty Little Liars: Episode 13, “The First Secret”, begins with Alison telling a story about how two young Twin girls (Alison and Courtney), on Halloween we’re playing with their “DOLLS” (Dolls seem to be a really big thing throughout the whole series), and when the two Twins begin to fight over one of the Dolls, eventually Alison finally retrieves it from the Courtney so Courtney proceeds to go to the Kitchen drawer, get a knife, and stabs the Alison for taking the Doll. So for stabbing Alison, Courtney was sent away to a Home for the Criminally Insane (Radley Sanitarium). Years later, Courtney returns home for a Visit and Switches places with Alison, and convinces her Parents that she’s Alison and that Alison is her. Alison gets sent back to the Sanitarium, furious. Alison (Courtney) befriends the liars and is just a bitch to everyone. When she tells her story on Halloween to Hanna and that Hanna is babysitting, she says that the other twin (The Real Alison) was locked up until yesterday, when she escaped. Alison (Courtney) made that up, not knowing that it was actually true. Hence, the Radley Sanitarium Car infront of that Haunted, Creepy looking House that all the girls walk by. The person who opens the door to that house as the girls pass, was “The Real Alison”. With all that being said, “The Real Alison” had Stalked Courtney (Alison) and when some how “The Real Alison” met Mona, Mona had told her about how Courntey had made her life miserable and how Mona had begun sending Courtney threats like “It’s My Turn To Torture You” with the “VooDoo Doll” and the “I’m Watching You” text, which lead to “The Real Alison” telling Mona about the “Twin Halloween Tale” and how Courtney switched places with her. But after hearing about what Mona planned to do to Courtney which was just to Scare her, Blackmail her, Threaten her, etc. “The Real Alison” told Mona to start signing her Texts and Notes as “A” so Courtney would think that “The Real Alison” actually had escaped from the hospital (In which, she actually did escape from the hospital obviously) Which is why, nothing, “A” had sent her, is actually signed by “A” until the end of the Episode when Courtney gets the Text, “Dying to know who I am? You’ll find out. -A” So in the Season 2 Finale, “UnmAsked” at the end, the person in the Red Coat who visits Mona is in fact, “The Real Alison”, and Mona had done everything she asked her to do.
2. The Doll that Alison (Courtney) has hid in that brown box within her wall vent, is the doll “The Real Alison” had taken from her when they were younger.
3. Alison (Courtney) is obviously “Courntey” because if she can get that angry as a child and stab her sister, no wonder why she’s such a Heartless, Mean, Manipulative, Conniving, Sneaky, person. Who always seems so Angry which makes me want to believe she suffered from the same thing that Mona does. She can go from being so sweet to such an evil bitch in a blink of an eye. Which is what Mona did, she smiled in Hanna’s face, turned that switch off like nothing, and then hit Hanna with her car. Alison (Courtney) acted the same way towards almost everybody. Like when Alison (Courtney) is telling the “Twin Halloween Tale” to the little boy, she’s so into it, enjoys telling it, and thinks it’s so entertaining and funny because she’s the one who stabbed “The Real Alison”.
4. The Writing on the Plaque hanging under the Frame says; ”C’est le double de rires et de double le sourire, et double la peine si vous êtes bénis avec des jumeaux.” which means, “It’s double the giggles and double the grins, and double the trouble if you’re blessed with twins.” and further more, in the frame above the plaque, it shows two pictures of “Alison” (The two pictures must be of the Twins)
5. In the Books, Mona is the first “A”, and “The Real Alison” is the second “A” so if they made Mona the first “A” in the T.V. Show, what makes you think otherwise that “The Real Alison” isn’t going to be the second “A”?
6. “The Real Alison” is the one appears to the girls, and when she told Hanna, she knows who “A” is, it wouldn’t make a difference because she’s the leader so even if they know who “A” is and take her down, they still have to deal with “The Real Alison” and obviously she’d know who “A” is because she’s like “A“‘s Boss. And when she told Emily, “Two can only keep a secret, if one of them is dead” is true. “The Real Alison” isn’t dead which is why she couldn’t tell her who “A” was. She’s read, Courtney’s Diary, she’d know to Kiss Emily, and act how she does to the girls so they think Alison (Courtney) is still alive when she’s not.
